L'IMPORTANCE DE L'ALIMENTATION : Les Protéines, c’est utile ?

THE IMPORTANCE OF DIET: Is protein useful?

Today we're going to tackle a subject that moves away from the concept of concrete weights to make your homegym and bodybuilding disc molds and into the realm of nutrition. Homemade bodybuilding equipment is a great way of making progress without being dependent on weight or crossfit gyms, but nutrition is an essential part of it!

We all know that nutrition plays a major role in sport, whether for weight or simply for fitness. A healthy lifestyle and a controlled diet optimize our sessions. But we often hear that it's protein that counts above all else.

Rocky used to eat 6 raw eggs in the morning before training...
But are they really more responsible for our progress than our other energy intakes?

First of all, from a scientific point of view, a protein is a molecule, an amino acid. They can be found in our skin, our organs and above all in our muscles.

Sportsmen and women create micro-lesions in their muscles with each session, and these micro-lesions cost them a lot of energy. After the session, these micro-lesions need to be repaired, and the body needs to recover its energy. Proteins are therefore part of a set of molecules that promote recovery. What's more, proteins repair and even better, consolidate the muscle for the next session.
This is how a muscle gains volume. The muscle is put to the test, then repaired and better prepared for the next session.

In short, protein is essential not only for building muscle mass, but also for staying in shape. The quantities of Whey marketed for athletes are not there by chance, as this high-protein soluble powder is indeed beneficial.

But let's not lose sight of a simple principle: just because you eat twice as much protein doesn't mean you'll progress twice as fast. Other molecules in the same family as protein are just as important for the body's overall recovery.

Finally, yes protein is an excellent, even necessary, intake when building muscle mass, but there's no point in abusing it to the detriment of other important daily intakes.

(Mr Balboa could perhaps have limited himself to 4 eggs rather than 6 😁)
